Our Story
Schrock Metal Products started in 1989 in the back of a Ford F-150. Fresh out of the Navy with a young family, John Schrock bought a used mobile welding unit, took his first job within a week, and built the company one weld at a time.
The shop grew with him — from a tight pole barn on Greenbush Road (1992), to Morgan Street (1995), to the 25,000-square-foot plant at 13557 Bloomingdale Road, its home since 2003. When the 2009 recession hit, Schrock chose to reinvent rather than retreat, investing in a $1.7 million Amada automation system in 2012 that put the shop among a handful of fabricators in the country with that precision and capacity.
Through it all, the values never changed — hard work, honesty, and respect, along with a commitment to the Western New York community that continues today.
In 2025, Schrock Metal Products was acquired — but the shop didn't miss a beat. The team stayed on, including partner Chris Kumpf, and the same promise carries forward. Today the focus is on the future: growing alongside our customers, expanding our capabilities, and being the kind of long-term fabrication partner that scales from a single prototype to full production — all built on the same quality work, fair pricing, and handshake you can count on.
